Attention: Members Re: Policies, Programs, Guidelines, etc. Please be guided by the following "programs of instruction":
The following below are the policies that are still imposed for the year 2008. All are under strict compliance for my fellow altar servers in order to promote discipline and rightfulnes - Mark Journel R. Quero, Chair, Discipline Commitee.
CHECKLIST FOR PROPER SERVING
" Make sure to come 30 minutes before your assigned schedule to serve.
" Dress up 15 minutes/20 minutes before the Mass starts.
" Prepare the needed vessels:
==> Place one big host on the chalice.
==> Assure that there are candles in each of the torches.
==> Don't forget to bring down the offerings such as ciborium and wine.
==> As much as possible, the basin is empty.
==> For special occasions (like concelebrated mass, high mass), or the bishop himself will officiate the mass, check if the books (Sacramentary), missal, missalette, and other auxiliary materials like microphones are available.
" Observe discipline at all times, most especially when the Mass has already begun. Avoid talking or any unnecessary gestures that may cause any distractions to the priest, and the crowd.
" After the Mass, make sure that the vessels and other materials are returned to their proper places, or to the person whom you borrowed from.
